We took a beautiful 20-mile drive along a valley road and up and over a great moor to here. There is an old inn, bridge and the post office.

Researching postcards sent more than 100 years ago reveals just how far our ancestors travelled – including a British MP born in a log cabin in Tennessee, an 18-year-old girl who sailed with Robert Stephenson to Egypt & dined with Brunel.
