Heritage/history is important to fascists. They've invented an identity for themselves that they think makes them cool (they're not), and they need a history to anchor it. Where there is no history, they make it up. Fascists use archaeology to add a veneer of scientific legitimacy to their claims,

Pour in an inch of apple or white wine vinegar with a splash of washing up liquid and then pop the lid back on, you will catch far more.
If the container is open, some will get away. But with the small holes they can crawl in but not fly back out again.

Palaeolithic, that's the period when people were "cave men". The Neolithic was when people started farming.
