I know it's a different point, but I'm becoming nostalgic for last year when we had NOAA, climate satellites, infectious disease surveillance, cancer funding, climate data, etc. I didn't know much about how all of that stuff worked, but as it was cut and attacked, I realized how much I want it back.

Amen. It’s such an easy case to make too. No new ideas or words needed and it is full of positive resonances and beloved themes. It’s been driving me mad that everyone was bullied and gaslit into thinking it was a losing proposition

It's disconcerting how skilled she is. I thought she was more deranged and unregulated but now I see that there was probably a lot of skill going into that portrayal. She is definitely dangerous.

In Los Angeles, after the fires, everyone intuitively understood that rich people from the Palisades renting lux places would drive up all prices. They don’t seem to intuit the opposite.

I completely agree. A lot of progressives are mystified by the economics and insist on low income housing requirements. It seems good to make the affirmative case for supply & demand.
