Dropped Episode 159 this morning! YouTube, Apple Pods, Spotify, & everywhere you get your pods.

We share analysis on the windy away win vs Toronto, discuss Tayvon's importance to the club after his 100th game, & debate what the Aidan O'Neill signing means for our starting XI.
April 29, 2025 at 8:18 PM
O‘Neill’s played 27 games this season for Standard Liege (25 starts), with 6 nat’l caps mixed in, dating back through July 2024.

Worth noting that in 23 out of his 25 starts he went 90’+.

Will be an extra long season if he finds himself a regular in the line-up through October.
🔵 Source: NYCFC finalizing deal to sign Australia int’l defensive midfielder Aiden O’Neill from Standard Liege.

O’Neill, 26, key starter for Standard Liege. 17 caps with Australia. Won’t be a DP.

New York City FC looked dysfunctional and sloppy while conceding twice to a team that had yet to score from open play this season, translating to a 2-0 L at Gillette Stadium

Here are @matthewmangam.bsky.social’s 3 Takeaways from that #NYCFC loss in New England

Tayvon back, Perea back, Juli for Baki, good subs. I don’t know if it’s salvageable, but these guys should help.

Half-time thoughts.. do we suck?
April 20, 2025 at 12:41 AM
Cavallo & Perea back in the subs. Cavallo’s first time available since his injury in his MLS Debut against the Revs in Week 4, & Perea’s first time available since Week 2 vs LAFC. #NYCFC

- Jonny Shore, 17 years old
- Seymour Reid, 17 years old

(david lee please sign some players our depth cannot be a bunch of MLSNP teenagers even though they’re ballers)

Interesting to hear Keaton describe himself as the no. 6 in his postgame comments

When he plays with Shore, he concedes the no. 8 role he dominated for so many years to best unlock the 17 year old’s skillset

The Keaton x Shore pivot certainly appears to be the answer to the James Sands hole

Maxi & Alonso are cooking together right now.

JULIAAAAANNNNN GOL

(maybe best moment of Hannes’ season right there on the assist too? he’s hopefully heating up after last game & now this)
March 16, 2025 at 12:21 AM
Thiago OG followed by Cavallo subbed out injured, vibes at an all time low here.

It looks like 3 at-the-back now, Birk on the left, Haak in the middle, & Thiago on the right.

(birk VERY eager to join the attack in our first possession post-substitution)

Yesterday we had the opportunity to ask Pirlo what it meant to him personally to be back in New York for the club's 10th anniversary.

"I cannot be happier to come back.. The fans have been great.. It is always a coming home moment for me when I come to New York."
March 9, 2025 at 4:14 PM
Hannes replaced Agustín in the Starting XI just before kick-off.

Pascal shared the reason for this line-up change in the post-game presser: Agustín showed up late to the game.

Hannes ultimately takes his spot & goes on to score the game winner. #NYCFC
