This week break from streaming was a good idea, getting lots of work done on Dragon Dreams. Nice to be making faster progress again, with the next map well underway!

Very strange how every Doom video I post consistently has 1 dislike, as if one person for some reason has made it their mission to downvote all of my Doom videos.
It doesn't bother me, I only do this for fun. Just an interesting thing I noticed.

Another few months, another devlog of slow progress. But hopefully it'll speed up once this map is finally done, and it very nearly is! All except the boss is done, and that's like half done itself.
Hopefully a more substantial devlog at end of year!

It feels long overdue for Dragon Dreams to have "NEW" item indicators in the inventory. So I finally did it!
Very pleased. So simple, yet makes a big difference.

Just hit 3000 hours in Clickteam Fusion 2.5! Most of that time being on the Dragon Dreams series.
I've learned so much in the last 1000 alone about optimising with Parent/Child Events, and Global Events and Objects. Very satisfying having it all organised.

It's so interesting how our perception of game graphics has changed over the years.
I'm often amused thinking back to the mid-90s, how we thought these looked so realistic when they came out.

Another fairly slow few months of development (scary how fast 3 months can go), but getting close to finally finishing the troublesome map 5. Hopefully things will speed up again once it's done.

Love how Adblock Plus is popping up ads now. 3 days in a row this tab pops up when I use the browser for the first time of the day.

Had this Barrier spell around since the first game 6 years ago, and now added the ability to do this spiral burst thing. Satisfying!

Back to working properly on Dragon Dreams after a long hiatus.
One of the first things I implemented this year is perhaps the biggest, most important: Fully rebindable controls!

Finally, after weeks of work and days of repeated test plays, I think I'm done with the Dragon Dreams: Christmas Nightmare v2.0 update!

Finishing touches on Dragon Dreams demo done, I think! Excited to release some time this month.
I think I got the balance perfect. 2 maps, equipment variety to play with, replayable to try different things, and leaving plenty to look forward to in the full game!

Streams should return Tuesday, now that Furality is over. Just gonna spend one more day finishing up exploring it all.
Will be started a new character in Elden Ring (with poorly translated mod) to warm-up for the DLC!

Work on Dragon Dreams map 5 is a little slower than it was for 4, but I had more ideas going into 4.
Still, it's at least progressing. Here's an idea of what I got done through March-April.

In this episode of "staying up far too late game dev-ing": Many of the spells in Dragon Dreams, when fully upgraded, gain an additional effect!
Today, I added cool spinning projectiles that I'm proud if. It's a satisfying visual!

I like how Twitch justifies the recent sub cost increase by saying that it "enables building communities" and "helps grow community."
What, it's harder to build and grow communities if subscribing costs less?

Oops.
I was trying to spawn an enemy in one specific place, but instead, accidentally told them to spawn at every grass tile in the map.
But maybe I should make a silly optional modifier for this kinda thing... Enemy Multiplier.
