My gramps, Ferris F. Laune, got fired for letting Nathan Leopold shave (with a safety razor, no less) to improve his appearance at his parole hearing. It was decades before they succeeded, and Nate could fulfill his redemption outside the walls.

As an easily confused genealogy buff, this very issue has complicated my work a few times, especially when they bore their father’s name, as well. I can only imagine what it was like for the final survivor, knowing they were named after their dead sibling. Issues, anyone?
