funny that they announced all that new steam hardware right when i'm trying to get into playing my steam deck docked more. definitely interested in the new controller, and if the cube is priced well i might be interested in that as a more powerful thing i can just leave plugged into my tv...

it's a vocal minority compared to how many people like tangle and whisper, but there really are some people out there who are sooooo mad that the idw comics are canon. how can you be a *SONIC* fan of all things and lose your mind over a thing you don't like being canon. that's part of the deal

i didn't submit slarpg for the steam animal fest because the eligibility rules said no "humanoid/humanized animals" and i assumed that meant no furries, but there's a bunch of furry games starring humanoid animal people in the event anyway. what the fuck

thought that new yorker article on "the new literalism plaguing today's movies" might have a point until i got to the end and the author's example of a film with subtlety was conclave, where they literally have characters explain the thesis and the parallels with US politics out loud in the dialogue

i forgot that in the third ever episode of the simpsons homer gets fired from his job and tries to kill himself. season 1 doesn't have the joke-a-minute genius of what came later, but i do like its darkly funny satire of middle america. that groening life in hell dna is still there early on

yeah i still have no idea how to feel about air riders. it's got that sakurai sauce but the actual gameplay remains very weird to wrap my head around. hard to gauge when the trial doesn't let you do regular races against online randos and the CPUs seem to be locked in easy mode
