Thank you, I hadn't appreciated this distinction. I just looked at the One Big Bill from the House; no mention of NIH or NSF. So, science funding will be voted on later this summer. That's great and gives us just a little more time to advocate and get the word out to the public and congress. 📢

The Prospect article in the first post notes that NIH cuts are "a sleeper issue" in the bill.
Future cures for cancer, Alzheimer's, chronic diseases, and the next pandemic should not be a "sleeper issue". Workforce for pharma and biotech should not be a sleeper issue.
Time to wake people up!

So far even NPR isn't highlighting the major cuts to research funding at NIH and NSF. It was completely left out of this otherwise highly informative rundown of what is in the bill. @elenamoore.bsky.social maybe you could add it? These cuts will have tremendous impact. www.npr.org/2025/06/28/g...
