i think they were trying to go for a challengers style musical with the playbill but it doesn't come across like that in the musical at all. so i wish the playbill was a little different. i ended up buying a t-shirt bc it was the only merch i liked lol

everything i saw was amazing (please go see beau the musical if you are in nyc before it closes down soon). BUT. i saw chess twice. bc i have been obsessed w/ chess the musical for over a decade now and am just so happy to have seen it live. i have MANY THOUGHTS on this adaptation but i think i will

you might also enjoy natasha, pierre and the great comet of 1812 (adaptation of about 70 pages of war and peace) and the obscure jane eyre musical from 2000. both have cast albums on spotify!

i completely agree that sondheim is what you might be interested in! sunday in the park with george is on youtube, and so is passion! he's a wonderful lyricist and composer imo.
