Today is a truly historic moment fulfilling a long held commitment of the Labour Party to recognise Palestine in order to progress peace on the Middle East. Now we need a ceasefire, the release of the hostages, an end to the bombardment and invasion and an agreement to start talking.

I signed this amendment because the government’s current plans risk pushing some people further away from work. They have not been designed with disabled people and will
kick in before the reforms to our NHS, transport and the workplace have yet to have an impact.

I could secure the reassurances from the minister i needed about protections for creatives from AI companies stealing their intellectual property. So I wrote a letter. Here is my letter and his reply. I continue to press for better law for creatives.

The Tories wanted to allow hospitality staff to be harassed by customers. I argued against it. More than 40% of workers in Ramsgate work in hospitality: double the national average. They deserve protection. This is the Queen Vic clause in honour of Peggy Mitchell.
