Coffee With Democrats

Coffee with Democrats is a nonprofit media platform uplifting Democratic candidates, officials, and leaders. Through live-streamed conversations, we share ideas, highlight campaigns, and inspire civic engagement that strengthens democracy.
If this is what the opening month of campaign season looks like, I can’t wait to see the closing credits.

The funniest part is watching McCall & Drummond pretend they don’t see the smoke.
Pretending everything is fine.
Pretending that standing shoulder-to-shoulder with a man who kept such company won’t torch their entire campaign the second voters decide they had enough hypocrisy for one election cycle.

All those campaign dollars invested.
All those consultants insisting “Trust us, tie yourself to Trump, he’s your golden ticket.”
And suddenly the golden ticket starts looking more like a live grenade.

Imagine how it feels today, watching those two try to out-MAGA each other while newly released documents show Trump was still chatting it up with the world’s most infamous predator as late as 2019, right before Epstein landed back in jail.

That has got to sting.
November 14, 2025 at 8:25 PM
All that chest-thumping loyalty. All that “I stand with Trump no matter what.”
But now the Epstein emails drop.

Together we can overwhelm the minority factions that use our divisions against us.

Unity is our greatest source of power.

The shutdown may be over, but the real fight begins now. The American people are watching. Let us make sure they see who truly fights for them.

We must not turn on each other.
We must not let division become our downfall.

My vision is for a UNITED DEMOCRATIC PARTY, one movement, from local races in 2026 to the national stage in 2028, where every candidate, activist, and voter pulls in the same direction.
November 11, 2025 at 4:14 PM
Trump’s promises to deliver “something terrific” have turned to dust. His allies are scrambling, divided, and exposed. The so-called “win” in this shutdown only handed Republicans the political headache they deserve and gave Democrats the moral high ground heading into the midterms.
November 11, 2025 at 4:14 PM
Millions of Americans are facing higher premiums & canceled coverage because the GOP refused to extend Affordable Care Act subsidies. And as CNN reports, the Republican Party is tearing itself apart trying to explain why. It will be a Republican failure of epic proportions going into the midterms.
November 11, 2025 at 4:14 PM
Think about it. Think about why.

Democrats allowed a limited victory to reopen the government because the larger battle is still ahead. The next front is health care. Republicans now own the crisis they created, & that same sunbeam through the magnifying glass is now shining directly in their eyes.
November 11, 2025 at 4:14 PM
If Democrats kept the government shut down, hundreds of thousands of Americans would lose paychecks, SNAP benefits would stop, and unemployment would spike during the holidays, while Republican media would spin the suffering they caused as Democratic failure.
November 11, 2025 at 4:14 PM
Some are calling it a “cave.” The uncomfortable truth is that it is not caving. Many Democrats say we should fight and win at all costs, but that is cutting off your nose to spite your face. Democrats made a choice in the glaring sunbeam of a political catch-22.
November 11, 2025 at 4:14 PM
Yesterday’s Senate vote to reopen was not a defeat. It was a calculated defense. Democrats fought to protect workers, families, and vulnerable Americans who depend on the programs Republicans were willing to destroy just to score political points. But our power is not limitless.
November 11, 2025 at 4:14 PM
A party that combines our strength to overwhelm the minority factions that have used our divisions and our struggles against us.

It is time to close ranks, rebuild trust, and remind Oklahomans and Americans that unity is our greatest source of power.

We may lose this battle because the cards are stacked against us now. But the war is in the midterms. When the people see the Republican majority voting against the interests of the people, flipping the power to the people by electing Democrats will become the rally cry.
November 10, 2025 at 1:29 PM
And when Republicans vote to defund the ACA, that vote will become the rally cry of the next election. The American voter will remember the Democrats who fought for them and the Republicans who voted against the very people they represent.
November 10, 2025 at 1:29 PM
Yes, Democrats can delay. But delay is not infinite. It is defense. It gives Americans a chance to see the truth. At some point, Democrats must ask if we are harming the very people we are trying to help.
November 10, 2025 at 1:29 PM
Republicans may think they have won, but history tells us otherwise. Every time they overreach, every time they reveal who they truly are, the nation turns against them in the midterms, at the ballot box, and in the court of public opinion.
November 10, 2025 at 1:29 PM
Understand this. If our colleagues do what is perceived as “cave” now, the chessboard flips. But remember the saying, “We may lose the battle, but we are fighting to win the war.”

Think long term. The Republican dog catches the car it has been chasing and suddenly has no idea what to do with it.
November 10, 2025 at 1:29 PM
This is a catch-22 of conscience. If Democrats keep the government shut down, hundreds of thousands of Americans will be furloughed, families will go without paychecks, and millions of people we are fighting for who depend on SNAP will suffer and possibly die.
