I personally have a problem with it being a $500 console that is basically just the same as before, but with better graphics and a new gimmick.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's like if the New 3DS had better graphics, the games cost 33.3% more, and those games couldn't be played on the old one.

I'm 99% sure most people would say a system that costs over 1/3 of their monthly income is overpriced, especially if it does essentially the same things as the one they own.

I'll clarify that Nintendo's 1st party games were $60 since at least the SNES era. My father worked at Electronics Boutique in the mid-to-late 90's, and he confirmed that.
