I have a sneaking suspicion you have (as I did at one time) conflated Mulholland Drive and Mulholland Falls. The latter has a lot of common ground with LA Confidential, featuring the formation of the infamous “Hat Squad”.

You’ve got a good eye. Not many people would have recognised him in his original costume. I was so pleased to see that purple cap. The comic accuracy in this film was next level.

Far more important to have watched Avengers: Endgame and the Toby Maguire Spider-man 3 so you are familiar with all the side characters.
