Stay tuned for Unicorn Riot's upcoming documentary named 18 Days, after the 18 day occupation of the 4th Precinct seeking justice for Jamar Clark in 2015. Clark, 24, was unarmed when fatally shot by Minneapolis Police. The officers were exonerated in March 2016.

Remembering Alice Wong: Writer, Advocate, Friend
Though we were in frequent conversation for a decade, I only got to meet my friend Alice Wong in person just once. And when I did, I  was a bundle of nerves—and that was before she cussed me out wi…

heads up to anyone who holds trans kids near: amy harmon from the nyt is searching for and having a hard time finding people to interview to find out exactly what trans kids are doing when their care is limited or cut off, and for purposes of community safety, please shut the fuck up around her.

It’s been a pleasure working with Lex and everyone in the politics vertical at Teen Vogue. I’m heartbroken that my column, Disability Visibility, is gone. Teen Vogue was one of the few places that published disabled journalists regularly. I just spent the last 2 months working on my next column
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

I have regularly been playing RPGs with a core group of friends on Discord (D&D, Pathfinder, Tales from the Loop, Cyberpunk...) and I cannot recommend it enough. Stick with your RPG commits. Don't cancel, don't bail. Prioritize that shit.

We'd head to the West Bank to argue about who or what we were reading in class and, more importantly, to see who else was there to do the same. I think about you every time someone says, "Well, I didn't read THAT essay of his, but I read THIS essay of his, and..."

Nothing gold can stay or whatever.

Yesterday I learned that I graduated high school with one of the mothers of the students killed at Annunciation. I'm also in education. I had all-day PD and spent much of the morning crying in my admin's office. I think this is all to say everyone is fragile, connected in ways we don't even know.

Navigating the death of a retired Air Force MSG is tough for a lot of reasons. Lots of veterans affair's numbers to call, lots of follow-up... But almost every phone call someone offers something else that is helpful, "when my FIL died...", " I called this number when I lost my dad..."
