Writing about history when I'm not gardening. #Chicago #HydePark #UglyDogs (iykyk)
I was apparently an hour late down here. People who were out an hour earlier got some really colorful shots. I've seen the Northern Lights in a clear sky away from city lights, so I know this is a pale copy but I still like joining the northern hemisphere in amazement.

I think it's the first skunk I've seen right by the very dog friendly area by the Point. I guess most night time dog walkers don't let their dogs off leash.

Apparently, there's a 400 page description of historic facilities and what's happening with them that they are preparing so more detailed information is probably coming soon.

I wasn't at the meeting so I don't know but I suspect not. If you mean the tennis courts just south of MSI, the official master plan for Jackson Park eliminates them for the expanded golf driving range. I suspect the DFA is viewed as temporary until they can fund the DFA plan no one liked.

Ah, I knew people who stopped going when the Park District announced it was closed.

Yeah, the whole thing was weird, but it was heavily used because there's no DFA in the area, just the de facto ones that create conflicts, so it's good if it becomes official. It fell into disrepair because the CPD announced it was being torn down for the Tiger Wood Driving Range 3 years ago

They also don't mention that Jackson Bark, the lovely guerilla dog park created in the tennis courts the Park District didn't maintain, was abandoned because the Park District itself told everyone that they were closing it down. What did they expect? It's much needed. 2/n

Wonderful photo. Since I know there's nothing to do in the Monterey Airport having been stuck there myself in the past, I look forward to more great photos!

It took a courageous Republican bucking his party to give America affordable healthcare and eight cowardous Democrats bucking their party to take it away.
