Baby's first cabinet project

Might add upper doors, gotta live with it for a minute.

Final pine shelves stained and installed. I like how they fill the window space and hold little things.

Repurposed wood makes for different color presentations of the stain. But I wanted to try stain, lol. #woodworking simple things.

Fireplace tile is next.

My mother is 101 and has dementia with a very low quality of life. She is on the final leg of her earthly journey, ready for the next.

I am calling on winter's hag, the Cailleach to guide and show her the path home.

Whatever your beliefs, a small thought or prayer can provide a speck of light. ❤️💙🤍

I have a few others scattered around, was researching stones for a grid to help my 102 yo mom transition and I haven't put my toys away yet, lol.
For quick details, I like the 2 vol set of "the crystal bible", for in depth and odd minerals, I like "the book of stones" (not puctured)

Baby's first staining project 😍

Reclaimed barn door planks from a door company, salvaging the ones with split/broken ends.

The cheapest stain I could find, lol

Learned a LOT about staining!

Next will be the corner shelves, will learn router skills... 😬

Sanding and staining shelves to store puzzles and games, pausing to complete a puzzle 😬

No posts yet so here's my scrap wood shed door. Such a good-ish door, now I have to level the doorway, lmao
Many scraps sacrificed. Much miter saw practice. Learning continually.
