An indie business run by @mergesort.me, making it incredibly easy to save links for later. Also a bit of red panda stanning. Check out plinky.app!
If you ask me the web should be fun.

3/ No screen went untouched: Whether it's the cleaned up iPad and Mac sidebar, or banners across the app, I gave every screen a makeover to make sure Plinky looks cohesive on iOS 18 and iOS 26. (And soon, macOS 26 as well. 😉)

1/ Introducing, Plinky 5. Every pixel of Plinky has been rethought and redesigned for Apple’s beautiful new Liquid Glass. From the moment you open it, Plinky feels right at home on iOS 26, while staying distinctly Plinky. But I went far beyond that to make saving links faster and more intuitive.

Plinky's redesign is en route to the App Store.

One of my favorite — yet subtle — improvements in Plinky 5.0 is this much more refined banner style. Plinky should be colorful, but a pop of color can make as much of a statement as a dominant color. The app still feels distinctly different than other link saving apps, but more discretely so.

Spent all weekend working on a visual overhaul of the iPad app and I really love how it’s coming together. The brand new Modern theme is perfect for relaxed reading experience, the Noir theme has been thoroughly refined, and Plinky's Classic theme will still be available — with a few nice touch ups.

Coming to Plinky 5.0 (and out in TestFlight today), a handy new Remove Tracking Parameters Shortcut! Get rid of those pesky trackers to improve your privacy, and never see another "Follow x on Instagram" popup again. As you'd expect, this all happens automatically when you save a link in Plinky. 🔗

Anyone interested in an iOS 26 sneak peek? I'm going beyond Liquid Glass, Plinky is getting a full makeover. No screen untouched, still delightful, still distinctly Plinky.

It’s time for another rendition of #IndieAppSales, which means that for the next few days Plinky is 50% off! A new release is right around the corner to help you import your links from apps like Pocket, Raindrop, GoodLinks, Pinboard, Instapaper and more.

If you're having trouble saving links right now, it's because our server hosting provider Heroku is down. It's down so bad that even their status page isn't up, so I don't have a good timetable to provide on how quickly service will be restored — but hopefully it's only a few minutes. 😕

And of course, we've got a few funny posts from across the internet.

Hate ad trackers? Good news! Plinky now automatically removes ad trackers from the links you save. Say goodbye to those annoying "Follow Your Friend" pop ups when you're trying to watch a Reel, and be done companies watching you browse the web.

One of Plinky’s most requested features is finally here (in beta) — a native Mac app! Now you can start saving and accessing saved links right from your desktop. The Mac app is built on the rock-solid foundation of Plinky's iPhone and iPad apps, so it’s already stable and fast.

A lot to explore in from Where We Are Headed by @deanwb.bsky.social, but I found this point particularly nuanced, utopian, and dystopian all at once.

The newest Plinky update is out now, and the best way to describe it is that everything is much faster. I’m not exaggerating when I say everything in the app got a speed boost. It’s hard to show off how fast Plinky is now in a screenshot, so just imagine this next time you open the app.
