I'll be getting mine (and a flu one) on the day after tomorrow.

I'm against the use fireworks for three reasons:

1. A lot of animals get scared.
2. It leaves a mess.
3. The fireworks are too often set off by drunk people. Alcohol and fireworks is a bad combination. Eyes/fingers/hands are lost every year.

Here, they're allowed on December 31st and January 1st.

I think they're adorable and I like their calls, too. Then again, I don't have to listen to their performances when I'd actually prefer to sleep.

Must have been amazing to be (one of) the first to make such observations.
