My halloween mostly involved sittig very still inside a 7ft inflatable hippo costume and standing up as kids got to the candy table.

Pure delight.

@beannoneya.bsky.social wants retro dollhouse coffee table for her little retro radio to sit on? She gets it.

Not sure why I always end up with my models upside down in Fusion, and got a refresher on the loft tool to get the legs to work right (hidden bodies were straight legs).

Kiddo pulled out the Stardew Valley cookbook and wanted to make the farmer's breakfast, so here we go.

Arugula salad with roasted parsnips and 3-egg gruyere omelet. Seasoned with garlic, salt, pepper, fresh tarragon, parsley and chives.

Tastes like spring. Best omelet I've ever made.

I followed a simple tutorial that was a very simple free-form exercise, and something weird happened - I liked doing it. I'm in my mid-40s. I've spent my whole life hating everything I ever tried to draw because it didn't look right.

I was in a perpetual state of "now draw the rest of the owl".

Whenever I see a truly terrible beef wellington recipe, I think of Gordon Ramsay making his "trackside frito pie" which was a total abomination, and I think that I should make a youtube video response wherein I make "Gordon's Beef Wellington" and it's just a bunch of things like this.

As someone with a daily drawing/painting practice who has just added a daily cycling practice, this hit home.

WIP - got some new notebooks and figured I'd do a big project using all of them. I'm a beginner, been playing with watercolors for a few months now and generally feel pretty good about how this one is going.

If you have extra room on the schadenfreude screen, the Forbes real-time billionaire list is having a big day too.

I really wish more of my friends played Bopl Battle, if only so they'd recognize how truly awesome this moment was in my game last night.

Today's hike: Tsankawi Loop Trail. A really pretty hike along the edge of a cliff. We took it easy and only did about a half hour on the trail today but it was still a really nice hike.

Today's hike: Pueblo Loop Trail at Bandelier National Monument. There are ladders along the trail that allow you to climb up into the ancestral Pueblo cliff homes. This photo looks down on the ruins of Tyuonyi from one of them.

Easy hike, well maintained park, lots to see and explore.

I just can't get over the way she looked at him when he went on his rant about how we're gonna bulldoze Gaza.

I do wonder when/if those around him will start to realize that they've goofed.

I used some metallic watercolors that don't photograph very well, and I've got some more shading that I should probably add to round it out, but it was a fun thing to work on last night

This feels really appropriate today, as the freeze of grant money has released a lot of leopards to eat a lot of faces.

Kinda love this. If you're gonna pay for all that nice copper piping you may as well enjoy looking at all the pretty copper piping.

It is rather pretty up here. We keep trailing off mid-conversation during car rides, to which the other person will reply "mountain?" and get "mountain."

Wow. Jarring is a great word for it. Each one is like hitting a speedbump so fast your teeth clack together.
