My, possibly wrong, understanding, is it goes up with time spent in public worlds. Friends+, invite worlds, and group worlds don't count. I think the intent is if you can spend a few hours in public without getting reported or kicked, you're probably not a low effort troll or spammer.

Cheap bnc anything is a disease that can infect a project/lab. You get a couple flaky items mixed in with general stock, and can spend years debugging random stuff. I've seen someone just ordering cheap tees or attenuators cause problems, especially former where they looked same as other brands.

I was used to environmental econ classes covering fishing rights because it was a shared resource while *some* soil and land use stuff was ol' individual responsibility. Farming discussion was limited to runoff affecting shared water resources.

If only you had a theme appropriate parasol.
Since I am usually a generic pirate, that is a bit easier for me to pull off not that I've done so yet.
So many renfaire are just in open fields, and I know enough people that struggle with heat in just human costumes.

I've never fainted in suit, but I've had some close calls when hiking or biking in heat. I have passed out from IVs and minor injuries before, so I have a good idea what the process is for me now.
I bounce back quickly, but still scared of damaging suit or someone reacting to me fainting.

Yeah, I survived a long time at the last renfaire because of taking head off for breaks. Our faire has like zero shade outside of food pavilions, so I figured that was good enough to be "off the clock" there. Also less noticed just sitting there.

Fainting symptoms for me include cold sweats & fast heart rate, which is hard to judge in suit, but there is a dizziness aspect I've picked up on. In general, since it is a vagal response thing for me, sitting down or lying down helps a lot (more how I deal with it outside of suit).

I'm fortunate that my head can flip up without taking it off. An intermediate solution might be one of the small high power fans that can be jammed into mouth if possible. At fairs I can usually find a corner to hid in to take head off or have someone stand in front of me.

I like to see people embracing the complexity of gender in the past when we were less open and lacked modern vocab to describe it.
But I also like people to recognize that there are more options than gender conforming cis and trans people.

The first time I tried wearing skirt armor I made was to my office for Halloween. The adjustment I made didn't quite work, and a coworker fixed it with a hair tie. That ties has remained on it for a couple years now, as it works. Although a lot less visible.
