Only one side has open polyps - just like in real colonies, where the side facing the current feeds. When retracted, the soft polyp tissue tucks safely into the skeleton #paragorgia #deepsea #unseenoceancollective

Adding feeding polyps to my Bubblegum coral model!
Only one side has open polyps - just like in real colonies, where the side facing the current feeds. When retracted, the soft polyp tissue tucks safely into the skeleton #paragorgia #deepsea #unseenoceancollective
