Thanks. I'll try. The album is chock full of history. When I saw it I knew I had to rescue it and I've been trying, on and off, to reunite it with the family for 20 years.

Wondering if you know of any organizations that can help me reunite this photo album I found at a garage sale (left in the house when owners moved in) with any surviving family? I've tried genealogical resources, but can't find anything. I'm caring for it but would love to return to his family.

This old fart has become much more reactionary and impatient with age (still not mean), but I've shifted from a squishy centrist to well-nigh breaking out the woodworking tools to start building guillotines to give some billionaires haircuts.

We have native wild versions of ginger growing abundantly in our NC woods, but the root is not viable for consumption. But that might indicate with the right conditions we could grow it quite well. Ginger away!

When you find the German word, let me know. It's needed.
BTW, I got a notice that the post I'm reading "is written in Japanese", and would I like to respond in Japanese? I chose not to. とても 難しい、 です ね。 😆

So, we take over as bosses of the party. It is not a short-term operation, and takes work and effort, but it can be done. Democratic parties in the South, like her in NC were once hold-overs from Dixiecrats. A lot of that has changed in the last 20 years.

So, direct gov't payment for medical costs? Cool, Medicare for All, or even better, a National Health System.

I got this useful bon mot from a middle school teacher recently.
In response to, “I DONT UNDERSTAND,” he calmly said, “okay what steps have you taken to understand?”
And that’s when I realized that a lot of folks have no steps.

In the last couple of decades I will always vote blue over red because red is ALWAYS worse, and holding my vote because neither are who I would prefer always benefits red, BUT would much prefer we get to choose a better shade of blue that isn't so prone to run. (pun intended)
