The first picture is from exactly 40 years ago, when the seven of us were clothed as novices in the Society of St Francis at Hilfield in Dorset. The second is from 2024 when four of us met again and attempted to recreate the picture. The three ghostly presences are the ones who couldn't be there

This was taken at Stupid O'Clock in the morning at St George's Worcester. We haven't had 24-hour Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament there in my memory, but it's great to see the practice coming back. It's hard to explain what makes it so special, but it is.

This is a good day! I've just sent off the manuscript of my new book to Wipf and Stock. "Touching God: Dementia and the Bodies of Christ" should be out in 9-10 months, I think
