Really interesting reading here. I think we need to see this as part of a broader pattern with law increasingly being deployed to performative ends not just in relation to legal letters, but also the act of legislating and the claim of 'legality' or 'illegality' as an artefact of political debate.

Really interesting reading here. I think we need to see this as part of a broader pattern with law increasingly being deployed to performative ends not just in relation to legal letters, but also the act of legislating and the claim of 'legality' or 'illegality' as an artefact of political debate.

I think his films are fine, but for women they're not exactly a great opportunity to work with material. Take a leaf out of Nicole Kidman's book and just dodge these boring projects once you are big enough to get to do that.

I'm not sure if others have noticed this, but interesting that one of the Prescott criticisms of the BBC is based on those of the 'History Reclaimed' group, which is also associated with the 'Restore Trust' group's attacks on & so far unsuccessful attempts to take control of the National Trust. 1/3
