Twelve months on Bluesky: A year of finding the beauty in the ordinary, of quiet moments captured and shared, and of the hearts, thoughts and stories behind every image. A year of seeing the world through others’ eyes, sharing laughter, sometimes a tear, photos and small moments with each other. Here's last night’s view of the #BeaverMoon from my window. Must have been a ruffled beaver in my case as the moon is totally blurry, but I like the little plane passing by from the upper left side towards the lower right side, the moon’s halo & the light clouds that look like someone has painted light soft stripes across the sky. You can see some stars too. In the foreground there are some leafy trees with yellow-red-brown autumn colored leaves giving a warm contrast to the cool blue night sky.

This morning’s beautiful view from my hospital room. A bright orange sunrise over some dark roofs with chimneys and antennas on them giving a nice silhouette. The window has a mesh, its structure can be seen slightly. I was quiet and not so active lately. I wasn’t feeling well as I faced another surgery that triggered me very badly and I was very afraid. So now another goal is accomplished and I hope that I’ll feel better after the healing process is done. Off to my new life chapter! First I’ll have breakfast. Take good care if you and embrace your health! ♥️🫶✨🧚🏻‍♀️

Imagine you’re in the desert, and it’s really hot. The air is flickering. You wander around in your desert resort, built by big thick sandstone walls, looking for a place to cool down, to relax, and enjoy the quietness of the moment. There it is, a little tranquil atrium. The the soft murmur of a little waterfall on the left side that’s falling softly into a rectangular basin drifts between sandstone walls, while the shadows of the setting sun cast patterns on a wall with 3 oriental lamps along the left side of the picture. Beneath smaller (left side) and bigger (right side) green, leafy trees and shallow cut bushes, calm settles like a breath held in golden light.

A pretty Rosa Dumalis with a pleasantly strong fragrance is in full bloom and a wilting one behind her are pictured on a sunny day in June. She is surrounded by green leaves and some trees illuminated by the bright sun in the background. The leaves below her blossom were obviously so delicious that animals nibbled quite a lot of it away. The 5–8 cm (2–3 in) flowers usually occur singly, but often they appear in groups of 2 or 3. The sepals are very long, longer than the petals, and constricted in the middle. There’s a little black bug sitting on one of the sepals.

A breathtakingly beautiful sunset in all shades of gold, bright orange, a few hues of a light grey with very light pinkish traces is taking place behind some old houses in a little village on the countryside on a late summer evening. Sunlight is shining on a pink garden Dahlia that is just about to wilt, what gives her fragile beauty an extra special touch. I like things that are perfectly imperfect. Her petals are making twists and circles what’s casting nice shadows, giving the flower extra depth. There are green leaves surrounding her what makes her beautiful color pop. The Dahlia is the national flower of Mexico. It has a proud history reaching back to the days of the Aztec empire. Aztecs grew her originally as a food crop for their starchy root tubers. Later the dahlia was transported back to Europe by Spanish colonists in the 18th century. There's a Dahlia for Everyone. Big, small, frilly, spiky, neon pink, deep burgundy, orange, etc… these flowers come in so many shapes and colors that even the pickiest plant person will find the one for themselves.

During yesterday’s evening walk the fog from a river nearby crawled over a lush green meadow with wildflowers, bushes and trees are in the background and in the right side of the picture. On the right side there’s a dirt trail with young apple trees planted along its way. On the left side there’s a sign saying that biking is prohibited (due to the animals living there). The sun is setting in beautiful shades of orange surrounded by big grey blue clouds. Everything is creating a beautiful and mystical atmosphere together with the fog.

Black an white picture of a mallard swimming in the water of a lake. The mallard is pictured from the side, swimming to the left side and looking a bit at me, it seems to be very relaxed. It’s left foot is hanging in the water. The water surface was softly moving, creating what looks like circular figures with circles in the middle and they have all different shades of grey. I don’t know how to describe it properly, but it looks a bit like modern art and I somehow like it a lot, even or maybe especially as the picture isn’t very sharp. These holidays were my last long and happy holidays for the last 6 years and the last ones with my beloved adopted grandfather, who had so much fun watching the ducks and mallards on that August day in the sunshine. He loved birds and was able to make all the birds tweeds and noises and he did it always when he heard a bird. He also loved this area and was visiting there for over 50 years in a row. He died with over 90 years exactly one year and 20 days after I took this picture. I miss him dreadfully, he was one of the best persons I ever met in my life. Don’t cry because it’s over, be happy that it happened. ♥️

One of the most magical moments in my life was watching the natural phenomenon Aurora Borealis in May 2024 that left me both mesmerized & mystified. I went out on a field to look for the dazzling dancing lights. Eventually I was lying in the dirt, looking up & watching the breathtakingly beautiful spectacle above me with tears in my eyes. There’s part of my left foot in a white college shoe visible in the lower left corner. Not really appropriate, but I initially just wanted to have a look & didn’t expect to see what I saw & that I’d stay on this field for hours. A lamp’s light is illuminating the field. The aurora was fluid & danced over me in all shades of purple, pink, green, dark red, in round shapes & in pillars. In the picture some stars are sparkling in between. Pink auroras are rare & are typically associated with a high solar activity. Red auroras occur only during strong electromagnetic storms. "Nature always wears the colors of the spirit" by Ralph Waldo Emerson, means that our perception and experience of the natural world are profoundly shaped by our own inner mood, emotions, and state of mind. In essence, nature serves as a mirror to our inner reality. More about the aurora borealis: Auroras are caused by energized particles from the sun that are slamming into Earth's upper atmosphere at speeds of up to 45 million mph / 72 million kmh. The magnetic field of the Earth then redirects the particles toward the north and south poles. The different colors are caused by the level of the solar activity, strength of the storm, density in the atmosphere, and the gases in the atmosphere that are excited by the incoming particles, eg. oxygen and nitrogen, emit different colors. Also the altitude at which the aurora occurs plays a role, e.g. oxygen emits green light, which is the most common color of the aurora, but it can also emit red light at higher altitudes. Nitrogen emits blue light, & can also produce purple & pink colors when mixed with oxygen. Stunning!

I did, thank you, the weather was nice today. I saw the Bernese puppy today 😍 he’s so cute, when he saw me he ran towards me with flying ears… my heart melted… 🥰 Ino my Bernese Pointer mix goddog is a bit jealous, I think, he’s claiming his aunt Pixie for himself! 😄 And they both love to eat! 🍗🐾✨🧚🏻‍♀️💕
