For the life of me I can't understand why GitHub hasn't got an option to retry the job here and instead I'm forced to click through to the job details page and do it there

After I pointed out the error, today I received new calculations which basically say I'm out of time to claim relief on the pension contributions but I still owe the HICBC and now I'm trying to tell them about Section 36(3) of the TMA 1970 which allows out-of-time reliefs during assessments 😩

Do schools in Birmingham have simple circles for catchment areas? Our service for Bucks has to use very much not circles imported from their ArcGIS system like this example

Everyone was focused on the roundabout itself but there is also a signalised left-in, left-out junction that will likely cause massive tailbacks onto the roundabout which cyclists will have to navigate. This excerpt shows exiting HGVs will have priority over traffic coming off the roundabout.

There's signs of a crack in 2021 from the Google Street View image - if it was a struck by a car it's not recent. Maybe it's just the weight of an SUV plus horse trailer over time?

I'm not saying the AWS CloudWatch console is bad but I'm glad they have this AI query generator 😂

Got an uptime alert for petition.parliament.uk - seems like there was a glitch in the european internet for a few minutes at 10:15 UTC 🤔

A warehouse development has started near me and despite their planning permission saying they should drive in forwards here they are just reversing in with no care for the other traffic - just a 'might is right' attitude.

You might want to have a word with the housing developers on Hospital Lane in Bedworth about cleaning up their mess before the race comes down it. They've left the road in a filthy state and there's hardened lumps of clay soil as well as a pot hole right in the racing line.

After a few tries in a new Incognito window each time I finally got it, though it went through a number of reasonable versions first. The phrase appears mainly in the context of religious figures like Enoch in the Bible so the LLM is probably combining real figures with these references.

Appears to be giving correct results now - it would be nice if Google put out a statement on how this got fixed and whether it occurred automatically or required manual intervention.

Finally got a chance to take the bike up on to the moor proper this holiday

Looking at the Met Office forecasted rainfall map you might want to take a long lunch break and wait for this to pass over 😬

TBF, removing this is probably safer - not quite sure where a cyclist is meant to turn left into?

Obviously not good enough for a court case but on the balance of probability I'd say he's not looking at the road

The minister talked about ban on bus stop boarders until the guidance is published - is that affecting current plans? NBBC has a plan to add a shared path with some boarders to what is essentially a plan to widen the road. Are councils likely to just remove cycle lanes in these cases?

@coventrycc.bsky.social according to the permit on the one.network website, National Grid are meant to provide an alternative route but as you can see they haven't done so. They could've diverted people onto Momus Boulevard at the entry/exit points close by but there is no signage for that.
June 30, 2025 at 6:42 AM
There are exit/entry points into the parallel Momus Boulevard which would be better points to divert users as that road is very quiet and could've had a section coned/barricaded off without affecting anyone.

Anyone would think I was inter-railing for a month round Europe and not just a day trip to London 😂

A development in planning next to me has sheds for cycle storage as required by local LPA guidelines but some of the affordable housing has rear access paths that will be virtually inaccessible. We've commented on the application to that effect but will probably be ignored

Seven barbers in the space of 70m in a set of local shops in Coventry 🤔

This is fine - just Google classifying domain verification emails from Amazon Route 53 as dangerous. Domain was suspended because I hadn't replied to the first email. 😭

(TBF to Google it is very spammy with a link to www.verify-whois.com )

The provision on the A45 is terrible and I avoid it like the plague - look at the state of this shared path the other side of the road at that point. I had hoped that the new HS2 station there might improve things but with Adam Tranter and Andy Street gone I've given up hope on that.

Also no more magical sunsets like this as the warehouse will block the horizon
