One issue with greater than 15 mins is keeping frozen/refrigerated items safe in warm weather. I agree walk/bike is more available most places given that timeframe.

I think most people do want that. For-profit insurance companies, hospitals and pharma do not and are a powerful lobby.

I think for older people it just takes a little longer for the reality to set in, because we have the perspective of having lived decades where the system of checks and balances did work for the most part.

We’re in agreement on the horrifying part. People ARE doing things, it’s a big country and it takes time; there’s no simple solution.

The Tesla protests are getting media attention, the vandalism even more (not condoning that). Main stream media is afraid of Trump. Also plenty of protests at state capitals - 50501.org, Stand up for Science, veterans, federal workers. We're trying, it takes time for momentum to build.

There are protests almost every day now where I live, some are small, but they're slowly building momentum. People expecting this to happen overnight don't understand it's not that simple. People ARE getting angrier.

I’ve been to multiple Tesla and 50501 protests, they are mostly boomers and gen X. Everyone needs to step up.

Not disputing what you’re seeing, but I’ve noticed at the rallies/protests it’s a distinct lack of younger people attending (with the exception of Stand Up for Science). Lots of apathy across ages.
