These can all happen with any chronic illness, it’s a part of “Just world theory”. We all need to take a seat and question why we assume things will work out in the end, without effort on our part. The world isn’t fair, to you or anyone else. We must create fairness together.
Reasons people say they don’t know anyone with Long Covid:

They don’t listen when someone tells them

They’ve shown themselves to be unsafe so people choose NOT to tell them

They have Long Covid and are in deep denial

You know someone with Long Covid. We all do.
I can’t believe I have joined the ranks of those schooled by an ai. Deep seek just informed me I’m an ‘intuitive systems thinker’. This is the nicest name anyone has used for my overthinking. 😂 I thought everyone approached problems like me. How do y’all problem-solve? 😅😂

I'm currently trying to discover more #Solitarybee species, which most #nativebees here in the US are! I'm hoping the game includes my favorite solitary bee, the #orchidbee. Tune in to hear me babble about bees!

#Apico is about #savingthebees and I invite you to #playwithme from 8-10 CST Today!

Polio is -Devastating-.
The polio vaccine saves lives—RFK Jr.’s disinformation and intent to dismantle and destabilize our healthcare system endangers them.

Things often aren’t what they seem at first, and are instead full of both light and teeth. You have to be aware of the reality of both, and plan accordingly.
Did you know that polar bear fur is not white but transparent and hollow? Almost prism like, and hence the light really shapes the perceived tones of colour you see. Here is a dramatic example of sunset colours peering from under Buggy One. Also their skin is black 🧪🐻‍❄️ #photography #polarbear

Always support seed libraries. Many plants are in danger of extinction.
The Altadena seed library needs all of the help it can get- if you have native plant seeds to share, please make sure they find their way to this group. Monetary donations are also hugely welcome via gofund.me/6643efc6

‘Look for the helpers’ (- Mister Roger’s) and, when you can, BE a helper. Thank you Mexico, for helping, for showing community when we need it. Community fights fires with you.
Firefighters from Mexico just arrived at LAX. They'll be joining 14,000+ personnel already battling the #PalisadesFire.

California is immensely grateful to our neighbors' support in the fight against the wildfires in Los Angeles.

Harriet Tubman is on my mind rn. Abolitionist, and making politcal moves about it. She was a bada$$. Suffragist, and doing something about it. She saved herself, her whole family, others and served as a spy for her causes. Life said "No". Mrs. Tubman said "Watch me." We are sort of still watching.

We are indeed in this together.
Sometimes my wife and I hit the museums on Sundays. Less crowded, and I can usually find free street parking.

Today, we saw an exhibit called Imagining Black Diasporas, and this piece stood out: “We are in this together.”

Feels like a message for us in the year ahead—in the resistance. 👊🏽

We shouldn't have to -prove- anything. I've said this before, but questioning -IF- someone is disabled is often Just World Thoery coming out to play. Because if disabled people are telling the truth, then luck has played a far larger role in your success than you'd like to admit.
I think one of the hardest things about being disabled and young is that if you don't seem to present your disability overtly, people think you're lying.

If you do, they pity you.

Like, what do I have to prove?

You can see even the faintest lights on the darkest nights, because that is when every scrap of light counts. So when things are hard and dark is when we as people must shine our brightest.

It’s not that hard.

That is extremely dismissive toward human life, someone’s PASSING is -not- a marketing op.
.
It simply isn’t mentally healthy to try and focus something like this on yourself, but that goes without saying.
Elon Musk wants to fix the Tesla Cybertruck that blew up with a man inside of it in front of Donald Trump's Las Vegas hotel and get it back on the road.

Gross.

He was never elected! Why are we listening to him on matters of policy?

You have to invest in those that invest in you. You simply can’t afford to do otherwise.
Now for my good night post. I know we all fall into this trap. I usually go out of my way to help people. I try not to have expectations, but it is human nature.

Unfortunately I end up hurting really bad. Expectations usually result in a lot of hurt.

Love you all ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🫶🏽

Sometimes, you have to do something simply for the satisfaction of having that skill. You do not exist to be consumed.
#Astrophotography people wrestle with this idea all the time. I put it like this: why make your own pizza when you can go to a pizza place? Why bake your own bread when you can go to the store? Why make dinner when you can get takeout? We enjoy doing things for ourselves. Even if it's not as "good."
