a passel of masked goons refuse to identify themselves, beat up a man, and throw him in an unmarked vehicle

they can do this to anyone

+

anyone claiming to be a federal agent can do this
Federal agents violently detained a food delivery driver as he emerged from a D.C. coffee shop Saturday morning.

The incident captured on video showed the officers throwing him to the ground and beating him before sweeping him away in an unmarked vehicle. wapo.st/45Egtkc

AI is a marketing term; before we discuss "AI is fake" vs "AI is real" we need to unfold what we *mean* by AI.

For example, "artificial general intelligence" is fake and can't hurt you. Layoffs excused by "AI efficiency" are real and can hurt you.

Linkedin discourse is fake - but it CAN hurt you.

So much for "Leges sine morobus vanae."
BREAKING

The University of Pennsylvania has come to an agreement with the Trump administration on what the Department of Education said was its Title IX violations.

This will include stripping trans athlete Lia Thomas of her records, titles, and recognitions.

Yep. And they'll have less alumni contributions too. Not that I ever gave them anything but it's a 'nope, never' at this point.
If UPenn thinks that Trump is now going to just go away and leave them alone since they gave him their lunch money today, they're gonna be in for some serious fucking disappointment.

Shameful is right.
Jesus Christ, this is truly shameful.

As someone who has tried to keep this argument alive, I find that it still resonates with most people! It’s just drowned out by all the screaming from the right. But we have to keep making it.
kind of just endlessly sad and grieving that there are so few voices in the public sphere making the basic principled argument that immigration is an affirmative good in every way and the best way for this country to serve humanity is to welcome people who want or need to leave their homes
