Completely agree. Re-reading is not a lesser act, it's a reminder that books are not ephemeral, or part of a throwaway culture. Books can be reread at different stages of your life, and offer something new each time.

on account of all the tea drinking, get back onto the sofa, decide the hot water bottle is no longer hot enough, get up to refill hot water bottle and realise I'm enacting "Waiting for Godot" with added snot and viruses. And if you've read this far (4/n)
