Really excited to find this snippet on newspapers .com, in a June 1973 Holyoke report: Tourists in Grasmere, England, getting accosted by my friendly grandfather as he has relatives there. Absolute gold dust. Amazingly, the tale is mirrored in his own diary for 29th May. Good old Sidney. 1/2

Perfect weather ( cold, dry, no wind). My second-fastest run on this route so well happy. And no tripping up which is always a bonus.
Rewarded with a commemorative t-shirt (no medal) & a festive bake on the way home.
Not a bad Sunday morning tbh.

Lovely morning run around our extremely convenient, officially-nationally-recognised, *cycling* track. Hardly ever see anyone riding bikes on it, but their miss is our gain!
(Couldn't be arsed today driving about 45 mins in city traffic to our closest #parkrun).
