Honestly I think Huntsville would just be bad for general operations due to a lack of infrastructure it would be useful as at most a research headquarters for space force Huntsville doesn't have the infrastructure that Colorado springs has built and the time and money needed would be too much

Also trump said he was relocating not keeping both relocating means moving space Force itself which the moving and relocation would harm readiness

Idk I think Huntsville would be better served if space command being moved here was more of something like darpa but for the space force instead of a general command area, it would play to Huntsvilles strengths and not to its weaknesses

Besides both parties will continue having this back and forth if their isn't a compromise would you rather have both or a constant battle of where space command should go

I think it would cause a loss of readiness due to having to hire new staff,building the infrastructure,and reeducating people it would be a trade off. Huntsville doesn't have the infrastructure needed for space command and it would take awhile to make that infrastructure

Like why do we need to do this trade off we can easily have both and not a one or the other keep space command in Colorado and build an R&D and engineering center in Huntsville and get the qualities of both without a loss
