No… that’s not an STD.
While the other tarantulas are in their burrows and webs, my Thrixopelma pruriens is still wandering about.

They were grooming their pedipalps, this morning.

I noticed that one of my tarantulas, my Thrixopelma pruriens, was drinking from their water dish. After a long sip, they rested, outside of their burrow.

After their morning stretch, or ‘sploot’, my Thrixopelma pruriens was out and about.

The green coloration that this tarantula has is getting much more prominent, as they are maturing. At certain angles, the green color is very bold.

My Thrixopelma pruriens ‘splooting’, the day after molting. I love when tarantulas stretch like this.

One of my tarantulas, my Caribena versicolor, has been webbing their enclosure, since this morning.

One of my tarantulas, my Thrixopelma pruriens, is looking adorable, while carrying a ball of substrate. I love to see it.

I wore one of my new, secondhand sweaters, and it was quite cozy, and fabric was nicely breathable.

A rare sighting of my Lampropelma nigerrimum, eating her cockroach!

This is the first time that I’ve seen this tarantula eat out of their web-turret. She almost never leaves it, at least while I am awake.

My Caribena versicolor was visible for a few seconds, before retreating back to their web tunnel.

Do you prefer spiders with beady eyes, or spiders with big eyes? For myself, I never get tired of seeing the former.

My Bumba horrida is looking particularly adorable, with their beady eyes, while they visit their water dish.

This tarantula, my Thrixopelma pruriens, is always out of their burrow. Once they find a nice location to stand at, they stay there for hours.

I was handling one of my female Madagascar hissing cockroaches. She was being quite exploratory.
November 5, 2023 at 6:14 PM
My Bumba horrida, Rhus, molted and is out again. I hadn’t seen this tarantula in over five months.
November 5, 2023 at 6:09 PM
My hair turned out to be fairly okay today, haha.

During my typical tarantula-related care, I gave my Caribena versicolor a cockroach nymph.

The blue beauty themself left their web, this morning, to rest on their cork bark instead.

My Caribena versicolor is the few tarantulas of mine that even non-spider lovers tend to appreciate, and it’s understandable as to why.

Melo, my Thrixopelma pruriens, is by far my shiniest looking tarantula. Their gold and green sheen always astounds me.
September 10, 2023 at 4:42 PM
My Caribena versicolor, Iris, has been breaking away parts of their webbing, this morning, to create new exit points.

Last night, Fig, my Lampropelma nigerrimum, left her web (something I rarely am lucky to witness), to shit in her water bowl.

I was at least able to photograph her, before she returned to her home.

I, occasionally, take very silly cockroach ‘photo-shoots’. These two were very tolerant of my shenanigans.
