Wayfarers x Farscape

Peace between alien races could shatter unless a neurodivergent, space-phobic marine biologist, the sexy, secretive ex she’s “over”, and their tween daughter can guide a pregnant space dragon to her nursery world before she loses her clutch.

The tide was so far in I had to dive to swipe the grasses, but I caught a couple of Pipefish and this adorable baby Spiny Boxfish.

The start of Pride Month feels like the perfect time to drop an updated #agentsguide for my sapphic contemporary fantasy, Gator Girls.

Tulip snails are my favorite.

Florida has 21 species of native milkweed, but this one, Asclepias incarnata, is my favorite.

It's all over our beaches, but not many people know the value of Railroad Vine in home landscapes. Salt tolerant, fast growing, and easy to propagate...what's not to love?

Found my biggest pipefish, smallest puffer, and a gorgeous Tulip Snail. An excellent beach day.

"Would you still love me if I was a worm?"

Yes, and I'd find you some healthy compost to eat.

They're all over the place, but I still feel lucky today.

Sugar Apples are so tasty, and they have such pretty blooms.

Lots of ladybugs and almost-ladybugs on our trap plants today. Integrated pest management for the win.

Puffers are extra cute after mealtime.

I love Geiger Tree blooms. Another win for planting natives in Florida.

Nice haul today. Can you spot the two puffer fish?

Normally, I love the smell of native plants in the morning. But not Lantanas. They stink.

This dumb baby left the clump of milkweed in search of food...on dead bushes.

And I'm back just in time for lubber season. Hopefully, I can get rid of most of them before they hit 2-3 inches long and pugnacious.

The Gulf was beautiful this am. Unfortunately, I (my kid) might have broken my nose while we were playing (because we're idiots). Waiting for the swelling to go down a bit, but it's noticeably off center (cannot let the child know).

My birthday was nice, but this card from my daughter was my favorite part of the day.

A bucket full of biodiversity. I found shrimp, snails, crabs, copepods, pipefish, and, I'm sure, a whole mess of beneficial microorganisms. I need to pass out for a bit now.

My first orange banner! Seriously, though, this anthology means a lot to me. All teens deserve to look and feel their best for prom, and 50% of the proceeds go towards a charity working to make that happen.
