Our edited volume Authoritarian Neoliberalism and Resistance in Turkey: Construction, Consolidation, and Contestation (2022) is now available open-access. We didn’t get to highlight it enough when it was first released, but it's a highly recommended one!

#BenimAnnemCumartesi

Today marks the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. We remember—but remembrance alone is not enough. Ethnic cleansing and genocide continue before our very eyes, be it in Artsakh or Gaza.

Never again—we say—for anyone!

I spoke with Theo Vareman at Flamman about the current developments in Turkey. While the protests may not necessarily lead to a regime change in the country, it's encouraging to see Özgür Özel finally listening to the youth and the people on the street.

Here's the cover of our forthcoming (Spring 2025) open access book, "The Republic of Turkey and its Unresolved Issues," co-edited by me and @olgash.bsky.social ! 📚 It features 20 chapters, each addressing issues often undermined or silenced in explaining Turkey's first centenary.
