Dismal framing. Every aspect of most asylum seekers’ lives is controlled & paid for by the Home Office. They can’t work, are told where to live & have no autonomy or dignity. So they aren’t *choosing* to use taxis & don’t need to be “banned” from doing so. The HO just needs to get its act in order.
Government to ban asylum seekers from using taxis
The ban is set to come in February and any exemptions will have to be signed off by the Home Office.

I've never understood the argument that being LGBTQ+ is a choice, because:

1. It very obviously isn't
2. Even if it was, so what?

Exactly. Whereas most bigots are proud to boast they were radicalised into their beliefs.

Actually I think the main reason Starmer's Labour hasn't fathomed out that the Greens are the alternative is because Starmer actually believes in Reforms policies and framing of politics.

As leader, Starmer has defended the wealthy, demonised the poor & of course promoted a hierarchy of racism.

The Glinner article in The Observer (I ain't posting it but if you want to find it I've given you the relevant info) is WILD! The journalist is genuinely transphobic and STILL thinks Glinner is a mentally unwell danger who should stop.

Or did they spend most of those years rolling around gargling in fake terror in breakfast TV studios, sending pissy WhatsApp messages to Times journalists and thrapping their genitals with a union flag oven glove. Was this type of behaviour indicative of innovative thinking and smart leadership.

Consider: what did key figures in creating the Sir Keir project spend their time in opposition doing? Did they spend it thinking up new ideas for how to tackle the increasingly urgent problems that were already blaring sirens and flashing klaxons by the mid 2010s?

What would it look like, if we punished ideas that the Sun would hate, and instead rewarded politicians for e.g. bullshitting, scaremongering, boasting, lying, sneaking, wrecking and a host of other destructive behaviours? Might it not look very much like this, going into year ten of The Big Crisis.

I see exasperated Sensible Moderates complaining that this government has no project, no theory of what it’s doing and no good ideas. I suggest this is because we have for a very long time been hugely rewarding politicians whose key skill is telling *lobby journalists* what they wanted to hear.

TRUMP: He went cuckoo. He went nuts. There was no vetting

Q: Actually, your DOJ IG says there was thorough vetting of Afghans. So why blame Biden?

I know we're all focusing on the chat gpt thing but this is an absolutely insane way for the observer and also glinner to refer to an ecofacsist who believes that trans people were invented by jews to eliminate humanity and that mass bombing campaigns should happen for the enviroment.

Of all the sci fi stories about artificial intelligence I can't think of a single one that proposed an actually very stupid computer flattering and sycophanting human users into completely losing their sense of reality.

The AI apocalypse, in fiction, involves AIs that are actually intelligent.

I get it, it's not easy to hold anyone in ownership responsible, but you better be sure that this is costing the company real money or legitimately pushing them to action or all you're doing is making a bunch of minimum wage workers do extra work for nothing, and the bosses don't care about that
