There should be a word for the feeling you get every time you rediscover that the thing that used to be easy is now hard or impossible because of a tech “upgrade” that nobody asked for.

Lots of news outlets running this story but ESPN does a particularly nice job of using their article to tell readers about Jackie Robinson’s story and military service www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/...

Amid ongoing turmoil, do not forget— #GeorgiaProtests have continued nonstop for 99 days since November 2024. More than 50 protesters remain behind bars, draconian laws have been introduced and adopted to severely restrict freedoms and silence critical voices.

Remember the ice bucket challenge for ALS? With over 1000 terminated from the National Institutes of Health and new research project reviews frozen all of that progress just came to a full stop. Same for cancer research and every other thing that threatens to kill you and people you love.
The court ordered that NIH grant funding be unfrozen, so The Regime found a way around it. For NIH grants to be funded, a review panel must rank them. In order for a review panel to meet, they must post it on the Federal Register. Submissions to the Federal Register are now on hold “indefinitely”.

If we expanded this list to 10 I think we might get to include Eddie Feigner. (Please let there be 1 person who gets this reference).
For no particular reason, Kings, ranked:
1. Martin Luther King, Jr.
2. Billie Jean King
3. BB King
4. Carole King
5. Bernard King

80th day of the protests in European Georgia. This is Tbilisi tonight.

Look at that crowd. 80 days of this. That’s how you resist a Putin-backed coup.

This will fly under the radar of many outside of higher ed but it is hard to overstate how bad this is for America, the country’s positon as a global leader in research and innovation, and the American economy.

At the risk of being too controversial I’m just going to go ahead and put this out there: I am pro ending racism.
According to two league sources, Sunday’s game between the Chiefs and Eagles will mark the first time since February 2021 that “End Racism” is not included as a message in the back of a Super Bowl end zone.

In Tbilisi, Georgia protestors surrounded corrupt judges and pro-Russia collaborators when they tried to have a fancy state sponsored banquet.

The corrupt judges were forced to flee while being pelted by eggs. Reports indicate staff also spit in their food. #GeorgiaProtests

Georgians have been waiting for sanctions against Bidzina Ivanishvili for years. For us, it’s a solid demonstration of support from our friends.
The American 🇺🇸 anthem was thus played at today’s protest, I think for the first time. Day 30. #GeorgiaProtests
