immigrant communities aren't "the left." we need to stop treating every single group of people opposed to anything trump does as an extension of some giant left-wing organizing infrastructure.
I think Stancil is correct about what the dynamic is right now, but I also think his framing kind of papers over how it's not great to have a left made up of somewhat separate communities that aren't in communication with each other.
Stancil is clearly in the right here

AI/LLMs are very powerful tools I use daily and I’m still struggling to understand the framework where these tools become a technology like the internet rather then a technology like the microwave. Microwaves are magic but don’t create companies with huge profit margins

I helped build a government AI system. DOGE fired me, rolled the AI out to the whole agency, and implied the AI can do my job and the jobs of the others they've fired.
