Also, 90% of his issues were that he wanted to date me. so that was always fun

then again, that was a fairly unhealthy friend group, so probably a very different experience there

but for example: one guy used to hold grudges and take them out in game until things would boil over and now we're talking about the actual issue, at the expense of the evening and other friends

When I say "rpgs aren't therapy" I strictly mean it in the sense of don't hold a game hostage while you and another player have shit you need to irl talk about. this isn't group therapy for your relationship issues, please just talk it out
