A family member had to get one (among several other tests) to come off of his blood thinner but, uh, he’d had a TIA and afib after major chest trauma so that actually made sense.

I *already* had him blocked!

I wonder why he appears to have at least three accounts with at least one with a bio whining about being nuked again.

I’d also make more working for ICE!
November 30, 2025 at 11:53 PM
I’d also make way more working in a similar office role at Lockheed Martin or Palantir or Meta. This is not unique to blue collar jobs at all?

He could have also been a real HR Problem of a sales manager at like a car dealership or environmental services company.

I had one try to roll in some nice grass while I was on it! I got off in time, but that would have at least been a broken leg.

Oh, I’d figured they’d put it with their nicest empty liquor bottles for decoration, lmao.

I live in an area with a lot of colleges, I could probably sell the TV box to a frat house for $20.00 and have free macaroni and cheese for a year.

Yes, I’d always gotten good grades in grammar but it didn’t fully click until my freshman year of high school Latin classes.

And I bet it is actually a situation where the whole cost of the loan is basically 3 years worth of post tax income.

If you make the sort of money where an $1800 payment makes sense I have major questions if you aren’t putting a lot of cash down.

Thanks for being on top of this for people!

A family member needed a level I trauma ICU and it felt like half the hospital showed up to get him settled and stable and this was after the ambulance and Level II ER had stabilized him.

It must totally suck to manage more than one of those at a time, it was clearly so resource intensive.

Also beat NYC, percentage wise, lol, courtesy of Staten Island.

For anyone curious, in 2020 they voted for Biden Harris at a smidge higher percentage (mid-high 70s) than Boston and about ten points higher than my Massachusetts town.

I was going to try and explain it but tbh the chart on this page does a better job. We don’t quite have that, but there are different rates depending on income.

I’ve not seen it but at a glance it looks exactly like everything else in that genre of creative British reality TV. I know they’ve generally watched tons of Bake Off.

Like, I knit wrong (I purl one way and knit the other and my stockinette is upside down) and everyone is normal about in person because I’m just making a fucking hat or scarf, but I’d be a Main Character on Knit Reddit for a month.
November 25, 2025 at 4:07 AM
Online knitters are often very intense and gatekeepy and that goes double for the Reddit knitters.

I was pricing out getting a car, and insurance plus payments (I was looking at 2015 Honda Fits, roughly $20,000) would have easily been around $600/month. So $14k for two car payments plus maintenance plus gas plus insurance seems right to low.

It’s so perfect for the time of year when it’s dark and freezing by 4:45 and you have to have something to fill the evening.

We got a pre tariff electric, split pot from H-mart that was around $30.00 since it was on a big sale. We really like the vegetables so we especially save money.

I can generally get six meals out of one but a lot of the chicken is used in stuff like enchiladas or chicken salad or soup.

Genuinely a solid budget option for a small space and small crowd, but you’d probably want two of everyone was an adult and hoping for seconds.
November 24, 2025 at 2:04 AM
A precooked rotisserie chicken wouldn’t really even feed six?

I had a white blonde pixie cut for a while and compared to just a normal brunette pixie cut, it just broke brains to the point where if I was doing tip based work I’d be blonde again tomorrow.
