I'm a long term 5-6 hours kinda dude and this is not good. Nobody except a (for eg) merchant navy officer or a nurse on a real union night shift roster has made a good decision at 3am.

Reading TCW's prose is like swimming in cold gravy. Unpleasant and you wonder what the hell you are doing with your time.

CCS magick! Subsidised coal! Private mini nukes!

It's all just made up and will never even have to try and survive contact with the reality of an actual political or investment decision. But let's keep talking about it for weeks like it matters!

staggering levels of bullshit. gobsmacking revisionism to describe the last 30 years of LNP climate policy as "We were part of the global solution, not a barrier to it."

A beloved conservative trope is "queer degeneracy".

Here, nations fall to transgressive permissiveness. Men are effete, women are macho. Children are victims of orgiastic liberality.

Epstein's emails are a reminder of the sad truth: a reliable predictor of abuse is just men with unchecked power.

Maybe I just jaundiced about political media, but RN Breakfast is much, much better when the interviews / segments are with experts of various types on important / interesting stuff than interminable political horse race stuff and journos talking to journos.

2025 and a clear majority of Liberal MPs and Senators think anthropogenic global warming is either (a) not real or (b) not something we should try and do anything about. Remarkable.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer will fight any attempt to replace him, friends say
Friends of the PM are worried his job might be under threat, perhaps as soon as after the Budget in a fortnight.

These marginal hard rock mines in Tas, where owners are sweating the capital until it falls apart (or can't even pay cost of production for gold even given today's prices!) are terrible stuff for the communities impacted.

A bunch of what is wrong with media and politics here. The plane was late. They are a (rump) opposition and no election is imminent. Why do they need to do anything today if people aren't there because the transport failed? Stupol shit.
