Reading the deposition he gave in Chicago you can understand why it is that Judge Ellis tore into him.

The first substantive question is "What is your role in Operation Midway Blitz?" Bovino essentially gives his title and no further details. 8 pages later, the lawyer gives up.

With vaccination, Australia has nearly eliminated cervical cancer. Cuba has a vaccine to prevent lung cancer.

In the U.S., anti-vax Trump Administration cranks are working to bring back diseases that once killed almost 1/4 of all young children. I wonder about tombstone industry bribes.

This article provides more data showing how easy it is to manipulate humans on social media.

These researchers rerouted the algorithm on Twitter to push some users toward “antidemocratic attitudes and partisan animosity”.

It only took 1 week to elicit changes that used to take 3 years.
Reranking partisan animosity in algorithmic social media feeds alters affective polarization
Today, social media platforms hold the sole power to study the effects of feed-ranking algorithms. We developed a platform-independent method that reranks participants’ feeds in real time and used thi...

Looking back at the government's own declaration from 11/25:

"After receiving that legal advice, Secretary Noem directed that the AEA detainees who had been removed from the United States before the Court’s order could be transferred to the custody of El Salvador"

Reminder that all the "pardons" granted to Jan6ers whose convictions were still pending were auto-pen pardons.
Trump claims “any document” signed by Joe Biden is “hereby terminated.”

He calls out executive orders later but obviously “any document” would be much broader and include legislation.

(He can’t legally do that but, as always, we get to watch how far he can push this without repercussions)

It's cute, reading all these anguished cries: "when this is all over, these guys need to go to jail!" I remember saying that during Bush I crimes, and during Bush II crimes, and during Trump I crimes.

Guess how many of those guys went to jail.

Apparently the USA for the district of Hawaii is not actually properly appointed, since his 120 days have expired as interim. Don't know what the legal eagles can make of this.

A report reveals the DOJ—after frantically realizing the files would be released—has been paying FBI agents nearly $1M in overtime to work on the “Epstein Transparency Project."

Ostensibly aimed at protecting victims' privacy, the project could also prevent exposing Trump. trib.al/su4zh6N

Pete Hegseth should be prosecuted for first degree murder. Fun fact: every district in the United States has jurisdiction. A prosecutor could empanel a Grand Jury *anywhere* and secure an indictment. For example, if I were Hegseth, I would avoid any layovers in Hawaii.

This time, instead of being ultimately backstopped by houses that last decades, it's backed by GPUs that toast themselves in about 2 years.

2007 was amateur work compared to this.
