Thank you for single-handedly proving that bots are on bluesky.

Yeah. MAGA are really out here posting about how celebrating the murder of brown people is a core part of US history AND it's a bad thing. Crawl back in your hole. I don't need to prove myself to you. Have fun whiting out the word "native" in all the paperback westerns in your local library.

I suppose irony is lost in text, thank you for the reminder. The point of my post was that the UNITED STATES and its stories about itself are racist. Stories which often use the word "native." But good job turning it around on me, buddy.

Okay, now I'm thinking about this instead of working. I'm sure I'll come up with more! Also, sign me up for the screening series, I am into it.

Lynching postcards. The Tulsa race massacre. The Indian Removal Act. Operation Wetback. I could go on. America was built on forced labor and stolen land. We still celebrate the stories of the "pioneers" who went West in wagon trains, heroicly murdering the natives whose land they were stealing.

It's always trans people who are the first to be shoved aside, even by the so-called left. I remember when the HRC was campaigning for gay marriage the implicit message was that we had to make gays and lesbians "normal" first, then they'd fight for trans rights. That fight never really came.
