Gamedev: I was testing npc interactions in that scene, and used dev commands to warp to the next location instead of leaving via the door and walking manually, so my player_career flag didn't get updated until I came in here.

Pre-modern military historian: sources for those campaigns are both late and fragmented. We can be reasonably sure that not only did I do work, I won the campaign, but precise details on work composition, tactics and leadership remain uncertain.
