Hi! I'm Vanessa (aka Phoenix Gray) and I'm a freelance artist and workshop facilitator. I work with traditional media, specialising in using pencils and pens on paper. I also enjoy practising Japanese calligraphy!

I got very excited to see some original Nemisis The Warlock comic pages in the latest exhibition at @cartoonmuseum.bsky.social!

The Future Was Then is not one to be missed! It's a fascinating look at sci-fi comics, and the artists and writers behind them who explored different imagined futures.

A fantastic group of kids attended my latest workshop at @cartoonmuseum.bsky.social, with guest Workshop Facilitator Haley from Westminster Libraries.

I saw creatures that could turn into constellations ✨️, aquatic monsters 🫧 and multi-limbed dragons 🐲. It was a lot of fun!

It was great fun leading a lunchtime art session back at the Portman Early Childhood Centre in London yesterday.

With a child-led approach, the children drew mythical creatures that featured on front covers as "exclusive news stories" for sightings of their beasts!

It's been great seeing both kids and adults alike enjoying my recent workshop, Mythical Manga! I am always impressed by the work everyone puts into creating their own imaginative creatures. This Tanuki was carefully drawn and coloured by an adult. I love it's outfit! 🐸
