A very rare notification for S Louisiana! They are predicting 4-7 inches for us today. Super excited to see it, though also a little worried about losing power because our infrastructure just isn’t used to this. Fingers crossed this is just a fun day of snowfall for us.

My theme for this year is Natural. I chose it as one with multiple meanings, as I’m going to try to eat better, be more true to myself, and could use a reminder that you just have to let things happen in their own time and not try to force things or get upset if change isn’t happening fast enough.

My skull cupcakes were more of a mixed success. My attempts to fill some with strawberry preserves had it sink to the bottom and therefore fall apart, but I tried to save them as best I could.

Foolishly thought that since it’s past midOctober I wouldn’t get sunburn being at an outdoor festival. Boy was I wrong. This is me before I started baking.

I bought a light up sword to go with my Psylocke costume, thinking the lights would help give the psychic blade effect I was going for. I started painting it bright pink yesterday, and purposefully left the silver handle alone so as not to seal off the battery pack or mess with the trigger button.

Was thinking on costumes I could do with my purple hair and I naturally thought of Psylocke, but so many of her costumes are not realistic. This one from Astonishing X-men 2018 looks promising though.
