I'm at least slightly aware how cool that make me sound.
Well I'm glad I lead you to it, but I've clearly done a very bad job advertising it, I really should have mentioned it in the ITC group

Such a good band!

This looks very cool!

3 of my favourite albums with over an hour and half run time. It's a small list, but they are all very high up on it

Funnily enough I've been listening to Paysage d'Hiver today as well. I've never checked this album though

These are amazing!

Recently I got spin kicked in the head watching a local band that sounded like newer Katatonia, I have now expected that it's reached my time to stand near the back at gigs.

Great to hear that about Wormrot, really looking forward to seeing them at the weekend!

Yeah things get really wild in that final act, was very cool to see Shinya Tsukamoto's style used for something overtly horror

Some great recommendations in this one, actually yesterday I watched Nightmare Detective for the first time because I'd added it to a watch list based on your video

They were so good when I saw them last week!
Also just so fucking cool to see them playing to a sold out crowd in a 1000 capacity venue, I love that music this weird is finding a big audience

Oh interesting, I got into them with Värähtelijä and haven't gone back to their early stuff, will have to check the debut out

Oranssi Pazuzu were possibly the highlight of the night, they put on an amazing show.
Had a funny interaction after the show where a guy was complaining that the venue had really fucked up the sound for Oranssi Pazuzu, and I had to explain that's just what they sound like
October 7, 2025 at 4:57 PM
But yeah, the show is a lot more prog than when I last saw them in 2018. I enjoyed that side of it, but it's not as cool as the parts where they do lots of dive bombs on their spiky guitars

I saw them last night and it was an amazing show, the two support acts Sijjin and Oranssi Pazuzu were really good as well.

Really looking forward to this!

I was only aware of Tanith Lee's work because yourself and Bookpilled reviewed some of her work. Everything I've read so far has been incredible and it's so deeply frustrating that most of it is now out of print. She is now the first name I look for in any second hand bookshop

Totally with you on this, there seems to be a trend in media criticism to boil everything down to a wiki, which feels like missing the point

His whole earlier career is incredible, from the Grotesque demos through those first 4 At The Gates albums. RIP to such a legendary voice in Metal
