Today @churchofengland.org commemorates the life of #CharlesSimeon I wonder what he would make of my two Parishes in @dioceseofliverpool.bsky.social I'm sure as a founder of CMS he be excited by the cultural mix and opportunities for sharing the good news with people from many nations. 🙏🏼

This is a terrible statistic that should shame our nation we showed in COVID that everyone can be housed but will we together demand that a change must come as part of what a @labour government does in it's time in office, working with partners including @churchofengland in this moral priority 🙏🏾

Also China is growing in use of renewables as is Global South it's US & EU/UK that need to get better. #NoplanetB
This is good news! Some people say that it's not worth doing net zero because other countries won't be. This data shows that moving to renewable energy is a global trend. 1/2

A thought from St John Chrysostom (4th Century saint often sent away for challenging the church)
"For Christians above all men are forbidden to correct the stumblings of sinners by force"
Seems appropriate for our day somehow 🙏🏾🕊️🕊️🙏🏾

@chrleft.bsky.social really hoping we can step up and speak both for our refugee and asylum seeking siblings, and to urge the PM and others to offer a counter narrative which acknowledges the journey and the contribution those seeking asylum have made to our nation (Lev 19:33-34, Mat 25:35)

Really good rhetoric from @archbishopofyork.org now we need to walk the talk, humbler about our sins, simpler to release God's people in ministry and mission and bolder that Christ is the Hope that so many are seeking in this cultural moment 🙏🏽🕊️✝️
