Go with whole grains! Whole grains contain all three parts of the grain kernel-bran, germ, and endosperm-giving them a higher fiber and nutrient content than refined or processed grains, like white rice or pasta. Whole grains are also sources of both soluble and insoluble fiber.

Use more plant-based proteins! Meat and dairy do not contain fiber. To easily add extra fiber to your meals, replace these animal proteins with plant-based ingredients like beans, peas, lentils, tofu, and tempeh.
