The part that makes it harder to accept for me is that our roster is probably top 1 or 2 in NFL compared to those other teams. So, the problem is largely b/w the ears of our coaching staff.

I guess I will fire up the ‘22 Colts tape.
It might be difficult to judge it considering the head Coach was Jeff Saturday. Most games are played on Sunday. That was probably their undoing.

Im instantly muting their sorry asses. Fuck them. They can enjoy mediocrity with the best roster in the NFL if they want to. We aren’t built that way. This team deserved every boo it got at the stadium yesterday. This was 13 weeks in the making. We aren’t a dumb fanbase.

Gosh I think all of them are questionable and beatable. I am pretty sure I know how to beat the Rams w/eagles roster pretty easily if I were calling the shots.
I haven’t played watched Pats at all. So don’t know on them.

After the Desai switch in '23, I have no confidence in Siri, Howie, Lurie to know how to make a drastic coach position change on the fly. They don't understand the game on that level. Best hope is that their QB coach can do it. I haven't watched tape so don't know if that's a good idea or not.

If they have someone internally who has a clue, yes. I don't know a ton about their options. Seems like QB coach is only possibility.
If they have someone externally who would not try to put too much of own stamp on it too quickly and KP is willing to gradually go back to his old role, also yes.

They sure seem to need lots of time to prepare to be competitive. 2 losses on short weeks. NFL sucks for doing it. But it speaks to flaws in our coaching staff that we can't adjust quickly.

What big brains? Siri? Kevin? an owner and GM who barely know football and prob don't get too involved in Xs and Os (that's most owners/GMs, not throwing shade).
The closest they have to a big brain is their DC. And even he has predictable flaws from my vantage point.

People who analyze the tape did say they were simple then, both in '22 , '23, and '24 tbh. But they used QB run and RPO more and had better OC's plus Elite level AJ. So, it worked.
Pass designs did get worse this year compared to last also. Not disagreeing. There are degrees to everything.

The answer is both. But since Jalen brings a lot more to the table than Siri/KP, and since he's mobile, you work with what Jalen can do well if you are a smart OC/HC.

Dolphins actually weren't that bad of a front 7 at that point before injuries. If you play edges like wide 9s and make them primary contain, and play 2 hi nickel, you end up relying on your DTs to dominate to stop the run.
If they get matchups they can't dominate the last 1.75 games happen.

Vic has some F ups for sure. He always has. He's good at what he does, but not perfect. And the run design sucks. They both deserve some blame. And KP/Siri are out of their depth.

Until they fix the run designs/play calls, Tank and Latu can get every snap and it might only be marginally better. But yes we should see more of them.

Vic has had games like this vs run in recent years. It's not in his DNA. He feels like most teams won't be patient enough to hand it off enough times to win that way. One of his changeup pitches to stop the bleeding was his condensed fronts. But league has figured them out.
